VE Day Celebrations
Grace Care Centre hosted their very own VE Day celebration

Everyone at Grace Care Centre came to together, in true British spirit, to commemorate VE Day this week.
The team in the home were joined by residents and their loved ones to celebrate with a traditional afternoon tea that included delicious homemade finger sandwiches, cakes and plenty of cups of tea (of course)!
Emma, a resident at Grace Care Centre, was a particular fan of the sandwiches. “I’ve put a request in for ham, cheese and cucumber sandwiches all the time, they were lovely!”
There was also a beautiful poppy memorial created by our residents in the home that took pride of place in the decorated garden.
The celebration wasn’t complete without some music, which was provided by the talented Dave ‘Busker’ Harris. His choice of timeless classics went down particularly well on a momentous day enjoyed by all.
On behalf of the team at Grace Care Centre, we’d like to thank everyone who helped make the day special. From those who helped set up, baked a delicious treat, or simply joined us for a cuppa and conversation – your presence made it a true celebration of community and remembrance.
