Westgate House does something funny for money for Comic Relief
Westgate House got into the spirit of Red Nose Day, raising money for Comic Relief with a fun-filled day of telling jokes and eating cake.

On Friday, 21st March, Westgate House got into the spirit of Red Nose Day, raising money for Comic Relief with a fun-filled day of laughter, cake, and generosity!
The team and residents enjoyed a Cake Sale and a non-uniform day, bringing plenty of smiles and sweet treats to the home. To keep the laughter going, everyone shared their best jokes, with some even making it onto our Facebook page in a special video compilation.
Laughter isn’t just fun—it’s good for your health, reducing stress, boosting mood, and bringing people together. That’s why we were so excited to support Comic Relief, a charity dedicated to tackling poverty and social injustice in the UK and worldwide. By having a laugh, we also helped raise vital funds for those in need.
The best joke of the day went to Admin Assistant Kirsty for this classic:
"What cheese doesn’t belong to you? Nacho cheese!"
As they say, it’s all in the delivery – and Kirsty was absolutely brie-lliant! (See what we did there?!)
A huge thank you to everyone who took part – together, we raised over £70 for Comic Relief!
Home Manager Daniela shared:
"It was a lovely afternoon full of fun and laughter, all for a great cause. We enjoyed some fantastic cakes from the kitchen and were joined by our commercial contractors, residents, their families, and the wider OSJCT team. A fab day was had by all!"
At Westgate House, we know that laughter brings people together, and we’re proud to have supported Comic Relief’s incredible work. We’re already looking forward to more fun, jokes, and fundraising next year!
