At OSJCT Willowcroft, creating a welcoming, inclusive community where everyone feels valued, respected and supported is at the heart of everything we do. Inspired by the experiences of two of our residents who have been directly affected by the war in Ukraine, the home is passionate about raising awareness and supporting efforts to help those impacted by the ongoing conflict.
For the team at Willowcroft, this is about more than raising donations. It is about understanding the personal impact of war, recognising the importance of language and culture, and helping people feel a sense of belonging within their community.
Through supporting our residents, we have seen first-hand how important it is to feel understood, connected and at home. Embracing Ukrainian culture, encouraging opportunities to share language and traditions, and celebrating the diversity within our home are all meaningful ways we can help residents feel included and supported.
