Windsor Street Celebrates Dr Seuss Day
Everyone got involved in a day full of fun activities
‘It’s fun to have fun, but you have to know how.’
This is one of the famous lines taken from Dr Seuss’ legendary book, The Cat in the Hat.
It’s also a quotation particularly relevant to the celebration of Dr Suess Day at Windsor Street as everyone certainly went all out to have fun!
Jess and Katie, the Activities Coordinators at Windsor Street, organised for special games, props and fun photos throughout the day. All of which were linked back to some of Dr Suess’ famous stories.
There was even a Cat in the Hat themed cake, which was homemade by Katie. The residents and the team at Windsor Street were truly amazed by the incredible design and taste of the 3-tier cake!
Katie said, “We had a great time celebrating Dr Seuss Day. His stories are known for being full of humour and putting smiles on peoples faces. That’s exactly what we tried to achieve throughout the day.”
Jess added, “Myself and Katie love coming up with new ideas for activities and seeing everyone get involved and have fun. The cake that Katie made was amazing and we all enjoyed looking at it - as well as eating it of course!"
