The challenge, which formed part of a personal bucket list ahead of a milestone birthday, saw Cathy take to the skies for a in aid of Dementia UK, which provides specialist support through its Admiral Nurses to people living with dementia and their families.
The fundraising effort was inspired by a deeply personal connection to dementia, with a commitment to giving back and helping others access vital support during what can be a difficult and emotional journey.
Following the successful jump, Cathy described the experience as unforgettable.
Cathy said:
"I want to thank all who donated to Dementia UK. It was truly the most adrenaline fuelled experience ever.”
The skydive attracted strong support from colleagues, residents, families, and the wider community, all rallying behind the cause and helping to push the fundraising total beyond the original target.
The funds raised will go towards Dementia UK’s Admiral Nurse service, which provides specialist advice, guidance, and emotional support to families affected by dementia across the UK.
