Wing View welcomed families and members of the local community to its weekly coffee morning, with a special Macmillan fundraising event bringing everyone together over plenty of cake, conversation and company.
The home was transformed for the occasion, with Macmillan-themed decorations adding to the atmosphere as tables were filled with homemade treats and cakes for guests to enjoy.
Among those making sure nobody missed out was resident Bernard, who was on hand to make sure everyone got a slice of cake.
The coffee morning is part of Wing View’s regular weekly programme, giving residents the chance to socialise with one another while opening the doors to families and people from the local community.
The weekly gathering provides a relaxed opportunity for people to sit down, enjoy a coffee and have a chat, helping residents stay connected with the community around them.
This week’s Macmillan coffee morning added a fundraising element to the regular event, with guests coming together to support Macmillan Cancer Support while enjoying the warm and welcoming atmosphere at Wing View.
For Bernard, there was also an important job to do — making sure the cake kept moving and everyone had their share.
