The team at Avonbourne Care Centre are passionate about being good neighbours, especially during the winter period, when cold temperatures and inclement weather can be isolating for some within the community. 

For the whole of 2020, there will be at least 3 events per week when Avonbourne Care Centre opens it's doors to the local community to come in for lunch, or to enjoy some entertainment.  On Tuesday we have our 'Tastes of the World' lunch when our chef creates local delicacies from a different country each week.  Then there is our 'Wow Wednesday' early afternoon live entertainment; singers, ventriloquists, musicians, and magicians all are on the schedule.  At the end of the week we have 'Fish & Chip Friday' where lunch is served in boxes, just like a fish and chip shop.
