Residents, families and colleagues come together to mark a year of care at Wing View Care Centre. Wing View Care Centre has celebrated its first anniversary, bringing residents, families, colleagues and members of the local community together for a special celebration to mark a year since the home first opened its doors. The celebration saw the home decorated for the occasion, with treats shared as everyone came together to recognise the milestone and the people who have helped make Wing View what it is today. Opening on 10 October 2025, Wing View Care Centre was established to provide residential, dementia and respite care to people in Wing and the surrounding area. Over the past year, the home has welcomed residents and their families, with a focus on creating an environment where people feel at home, valued and involved in everyday life. At the heart of Wing View is a commitment to resident-led care. Residents are encouraged to have a voice in their home, take an active role in decisions that affect them and help shape the experiences and activities that make daily life meaningful. The anniversary celebration reflected that approach, bringing together the people who live and work at the home alongside families and the wider community to recognise the relationships built over the past year. Home Manager, Gail Close said: Reaching our first anniversary is a wonderful milestone for Wing View Care Centre. Over the past year, we’ve welcomed residents and families into our home and built connections with the local community. What makes me most proud is the role our residents play in shaping life here, and we look forward to building on everything we’ve achieved together as we begin our second year. As Wing View enters its second year, the focus remains on providing individualised care that respects each resident’s choices, needs and life experiences, while helping people maintain meaningful connections with family, friends and the local community.
