Fun activities at Chilterns Court, come rain or shine
With the weather being a little temperamental this month Chilterns Court’s Activities Coordinators have ensured there has been no end of fun and engaging activities available.
Residents have been making the most of warm sunny days and keeping cosy inside when the conditions have been inclement.
During the first heatwave of June, residents enjoyed cooling off with some delicious ice cream and gardening in the sunshine.
The home’s kitchen team decided to celebrate everyone’s favourite summer treat, the strawberry, by baking homemade strawberry shortcakes that were enjoyed by the residents and the care team alike.
When the rain set in and temperatures dropped, out came boardgames and puzzles.
Residents decided it would be fitting one grey afternoon to exercise their little grey cells with a Scrabble tournament, and a kind donation of jigsaw puzzles brightened a few rainy days in the middle of the month.
Chilterns Court’s Activities Coordinators Emma and Candy get to know each resident’s likes and dislikes to design an activity programme that is accessible and appealing to all, ensuring that all activities are person-centred.
