At Goodson, we’re in awe of our local emergency service teams. Not only do they work incredibly hard, but they always have a smile on their faces and a kind word for the people they’re helping. 

That’s why we’ve decided to give something back to them through launching our very own blue light breakfasts every fourth Tuesday. Anyone who works for the local emergency services can get in touch with us and we’ll deliver a delicious breakfast to their place of work, all completely free. From bacon rolls to sausage baps, our talented team of chefs will create the finest breakfast foods to fuel our emergency workers through their busy days. 

From doctors, nurses and paramedics to police officers, firefighters and other key workers, anyone who holds a blue light card and who works in Trowbridge is welcome to get in touch – it would be our pleasure to deliver to you.

As part of The Orders of St John Care Trust (OSJCT), we’re proud of our charitable status; it’s what allows us to give our residents such fantastic opportunities within the homes. Every extra penny that we make as a Trust is reinvested to benefit our residents and our communities, instead of being split between shareholders or external stakeholders. These new breakfasts are our way of thanking some of the hardest working members of our local community for all that they do to support us all. 

OSJCT has a long history of service. We were formed from two ancient Orders of Chivalry, the Order of Malta and the Venerable Order, which together bring over 1000 years of commitment to both care and community. In some ways, how we operate has changed beyond all recognition, as we make use of the latest technologies and scientific breakthroughs to provide our residents with the highest standard of care. However, in other ways, our work is unchanged – the same values which have underpinned the Order for hundreds of years still underpin our decisions today. 

Serving our community is a privilege, and we’re always looking for ways to bring this value to life, which is why we’re so excited to launch these breakfasts, our newest way of giving back.
