Located in the heart of Chalfont St Peter, Mulberry Court is a warm and welcoming home providing high-quality residential and dementia care for older people. With just 23 boutique-style en-suite bedrooms, our newly refurbished, all-inclusive home offers personalised care in a calm, friendly environment.
Personalised care, shaped around you
Whether you're joining us for long-term residential care or a short respite stay, our dedicated team takes the time to truly understand each resident. Every individual receives a tailored support plan that’s reviewed regularly to meet changing needs and personal preferences with dignity and compassion.
As a smaller home, Mulberry Court offers a close-knit, family feel. We focus on building strong, trusting relationships - so residents feel safe, respected, and able to live life to the full.
A home that’s modern, sociable and full of life
Every detail at Mulberry Court has been designed to help residents feel at home. Each bright, fully furnished bedroom includes an en-suite bathroom, call system and is wheelchair accessible. Residents are encouraged to personalise their spaces with their own furniture and treasured items.
Spacious communal lounges, kitchenettes and dining rooms on each floor offer welcoming spaces to relax and socialise. Outside, our landscaped enclosed garden is a favourite for fresh air, gardening, or simply enjoying the view.
Food, activities and companionship
Delicious, freshly prepared meals are cooked daily on-site using locally sourced ingredients where possible. Menus are shaped by resident feedback, and friends and family are always welcome to join us at mealtimes.
From seasonal events and barbecues to gentle gardening, arts and crafts or outings to the annual Feast of St Peter, there’s always something going on. We also partner with local GPs, physiotherapists and other healthcare professionals to provide holistic support.
Residents can enjoy regular hairdressing, access to religious services, and even visits from beloved pets - helping everyone to feel happy, confident and at ease.
For people, not profit
As part of The Orders of St John Care Trust, we’re proud to be a charitable, not-for-profit provider. We reinvest straight back into our care homes - whether that’s new equipment, specialist training or improving resident activities and environments.
It’s our way of keeping the focus where it belongs; on the people who live and work here.

We have been so very happy with Mulberry Court. They have looked after our Mum so well. The staff are very caring and really take the time to talk to and get to know the residents. They also put a lot of effort into organising activities for the residents and events which family members can join too.
Daughter of Resident, Mulberry Court
Whether it’s wet or dry outside, we at OSJCT feel that activities are essential in providing the best caring environment to live in.
Hobbies don’t simply stop when living with us at Mulberry Court. We have a dedicated Activities Co-ordinator who works closely with our residents to create a programme of fulfilling activities and events, tailored around each resident’s requests, hobbies and interests. The programme of events and activities provide a source of fun and laughter, to help each resident live their life to the full and make new friendships.
We are also fortunate to have the support of many volunteers of all ages from the local community, strengthening our links to this thriving market town. Here is a sample of activities on offer:
- Trips to garden centres, cafés, pub’s, sporting events, National Trust parks, wildlife parks, aquariums and museums
- Visit from Pets as Therapy Dogs
- Exercise and wellness activities, for example Seated Yoga, Zumba
- Fun activities with the local toddler and nursery group
- Board game competitions and quizzes
- Gardening
- Arts and crafts
- Communal Church services
With so many well-being activities for body and mind on offer, we also recognise that everyone needs some personal space for relaxation and mindfulness for personal reflection. The cosy lounges offer an opportunity for some quiet time or to host family and friends.
And that’s not all:
We’ve had silent discos, hoe downs, Chinese banquets, Oscar parties and so much more.
Many of the activities feature Reminiscence Therapy to aid those living with Dementia to remember events, people and places using sight, touch, taste, smell and sound.
The talented chef and kitchen team prepare tasty, home-cooked meals on site daily from our own kitchens. We source quality produce for our excellent breakfast, lunch and dinner menus. All-day dining is available for lighter meals and snacks and all dishes are carefully balanced to get the best nutritional value and cater for individual dietary requirements and preferences.
Seasonal produce is chosen whenever possible and of course, relatives and friends are always welcome to join us. The menus change daily and the kettle is always on. Our chef bakes every day so there is always a fresh cake for residents, friends and families to enjoy.
Each of the households has their own small kitchen dining room where residents can take their meals if they wish. Residents are also encouraged to help prepare their own food and to make snacks whenever they choose.
