Oxlip House is located in a new residential area on the outskirts of the historic market town of Bury St Edmunds.
Smart, supportive living with accessibility built in
Opened in October 2010 this modern building comprises 52 one and two bedroom luxury apartments designed for independent living with the reassurance of 24-hour planned care and emergency response support from our professionally trained, friendly care team. 39 apartments are available on a shared ownership lease and 13 available for rent.
The apartments have a spacious lounge/dining area, with adjoining modern kitchenette area. The "wet room" style bathroom is equipped with hand rails, a shower, wash hand basin and toilet, and is accessible from both the master bedroom and the entrance foyer of the flat.
Everything you need – from a guest room to a residents' shop
Communal facilities include a beautifully decorated lounge and dining area, with meals being provided by an outside caterer. There is also a hairdressing salon, an activities room, residents' shop, cinema room and library. Residents also benefit from a wellbeing room which is used by a beautician and a guest room for visitors.
Every one of the 9 one bedroom or 43 two-bedroom apartments has a spacious lounge/dining area, a modern kitchenette and en suite bathroom with 'wet room' shower facilities for ease of access. The spacious and comfortable public rooms offer the opportunity to relax or socialise with friends and family and you can dine in our in-house restaurant if you don't want to cook at home!
