Food
The talented chef and kitchen team prepare tasty, home-cooked meals on site daily from our own kitchens. We source quality produce for our excellent breakfast, lunch and dinner menus. All-day dining is available for lighter meals and snacks and all dishes are carefully balanced to get the best nutritional value and cater for individual dietary requirements and preferences.
Seasonal produce is chosen whenever possible and of course, relatives and friends are always welcome to join us. The menus change daily and the kettle is always on. Our chef bakes every day so there is always a fresh cake for residents, friends and family to enjoy.
Residents are also encouraged to help prepare their own food and to make snacks whenever they choose.

Home Manager
Emma has worked in care since 1998 and qualified as a Learning Disability Nurse in 2001. She has worked in management positions since 2004, working across a variety of health and social care settings, and she joined OSJCT in June 2024.
Emma’s main responsibility is the effective running of the home. Her time is spilt between completing management tasks, ensuring compliance, and spending time with residents and staff. She really enjoys meeting new people and investing time in the staff team to allow them to feel empowered. One of my aims daily is to make as many people smile or laugh as she can, as it is very beneficial for wellbeing.
Emma has a passion for quality assurance and clinical governance. She expects care to be of a high standard and this is the focus of everything she does.
Much of Emma’s time outside of work is spent with her family. They enjoy being active and love exploring. They recently climbed Snowden and a future goal of Emma’s is to complete the 3 Peaks Challenge, climbing the three highest mountains in the UK.
Emma enjoys going to concerts as music makes her feel happy, and the Stereophonics are her favourite band; she has seen them live 21 times and eagerly awaits their next tour.
She also volunteers at RAF Air Cadets and is a civilian committee member at Ross on Wye Squadron.
Deputy Manager
Beth has worked in care since 2009 and joined OSJCT in October 2015 as a carer. Soon after, she progressed to care leader and then trainee nursing associate. She became a registered nursing associate, and is now deputy manager at Rodley House. As deputy manager, Beth is really excited about being able to make a difference to the residents’ lives and the team’s lives. She loves to support staff to progress, and she loves teaching.
Beth enjoys meeting new people and being able to hear the residents’ incredible stories and life histories. Out of work, Beth loves hiking with her partner and her Golden Retriever – Maurice (Morty for short) – who might be spotted in the home from time to time.
She enjoys reading – mostly thrillers and romance – and is a huge fan of country and rock music. Beth likes sci-fi films and programmes, especially The X-Files and Star Wars.

Dawn joined Rodley House in 2020 as the Activities Co-ordinator. Dawn arranges all the activities at the home and ensures there is an activity for everyone. Dawn loves her roles and finds it very rewarding; every day is different for Dawn but each day she brings joy to the residents.
When Dawn is not at work, she keeps herself busy by spending time with her family and enjoys days out with her grandchildren. Dawn also loves travelling abroad and exploring new places.

Heather is the Administrator at Rodley House and has worked for the Trust since 1993. Heather is a brilliant multi-tasker; she is always learning new skills and enjoys getting to know the residents and their families.
Heather loves music and enjoys music both outside of work and within the home, she loves to see the residents dancing and singing along to music, especially when the residents have been doing the conga in the garden!
Head Housekeeper
Victoria is the Head Housekeeper at Rodley House having joined them in 2018. No two days are the same for Victoria, she enjoys multitasking whilst keeping the home clean and tidy. Victoria enjoys welcoming new residents to the home and ensures their room is spotless and set-up to the residents’ specifications.
When Victoria is not at work, she enjoys spending time with her friends and family.
