With so many well-being activities for body and mind on offer, we also recognise that everyone needs some personal space for relaxation and mindfulness for personal reflection. The cosy lounges offer an opportunity for some quiet time or to host family and friends.
And that’s not all:
We’ve had silent discos, hoe downs, Chinese banquets, Oscar parties and so much more.
Many of the activities feature Reminiscence Therapy to aid those living with Dementia to remember events, people and places using sight, touch, taste, smell and sound.

Home Manager
St Wilfrids is a small home of 23 rooms nestling within the tranquil grounds of Arundel Castle this allows us to offer a very homely feel to the home and to deliver an exceptional person centred service.
The care is made up from a dedicated and truly remarkable team who regularly go beyond expectations for the benefit of those who live with us.
I have been the Home Manager here since 7 October 2013 since leaving Shaw healthcare whom I had worked for for many years.
I have worked in the care industry for over 20 years working within the fields of Adults with learning disabilities and elderly frail care before finally settling within the Dementia care service.
My previous role was Managing a Dementia setting for 30 people and 30 Elderly frail residents within an 80 bedded home with nursing.
I have recently completed my Diploma level 5 and have gained qualifications for Dementia care end of life care and Dementia care mapping. In 2012 I was nominated for the National Dementia awards where I managed to secure a place in the last 3.
In 2013 I was nominated for a Star Award by residents their families and my staff team hosted by my previous employer Shaw healthcare where I won the Regional and National awards.
My passion comes from a drive to make a difference however small that difference may be.
