At The Orders of St John Care Trust, we offer person centred care to all residents in the safe, friendly and welcoming environment of our care homes.
Residential Care is usually provided to those who do not require specialist nursing care or dementia care. Often, those who require residential care need help with every day tasks such as washing, dressing, and other daily living activities.
Our professionally trained staff are there 24 hours a day, seven days a week to help and support you and the housework is all taken care of by our housekeepers. The gardens are there for your enjoyment, be that to sit and relax or to potter in the greenhouse or among the raised planting beds.
If you choose a home ran by The Orders of St John Care Trust, you or your loved one can carry on with the hobbies and activities that you have always enjoyed. Each home has a dedicated Activity Co-ordinator who will run a schedule of activities and events that you can take part in. They will also spend some time with you to understand your interests and how you like to spend your time.
We will be delighted to assist you to continue with existing hobbies, as well as give you the opportunity to try something new if you would like to. We make sure everyone can enjoy themselves to the fullest, be that with arts and crafts, a coffee morning or more individual pursuits. Visits from outside entertainers happen regularly and the residents regularly take trips out and about in the local area. Each resident receives one-to-one time with the Activity Co-ordinator and together they will work on their own personal activity plan and goals.
A talented chef and kitchen team prepare tasty, home-cooked meals. The freshly prepared, delicious dishes are carefully balanced to get the best nutritional value, and cater for individual dietary requirements and preferences. Seasonal produce is chosen whenever possible and of course, relatives and friends are always welcome to join. The menus change daily and the kettle is always on, so hot drinks are available throughout the day.
