Meet Chris Walton, Handyperson at Avon Court
“There is no better policy in a society then pursuing health and safety of its people.” Ralph Nader This is Chris Walton. Chris is our handyperson, and he takes health and safety very seriously.
Chris has worked at Avon Court for nine years. He is married, and he has two children and seven grandchildren.
Chris was a stock room manager for BHS before joining the team at the Orders of St John Care Trust. He really enjoys spending time with the residents and can always be relied upon to help out with anything that is happening in home. He is well liked by the team and our resident ladies and gentlemen, and he can turn his hand to anything to help.
Chris will take the time out of his day to sit with other team members and help them complete their online training if they are struggling, and is always thinking of ways to make everyone’s life a bit easier.
Chris always meets new employees on their first day and shows them around; he makes everyone feel at ease when they join us.
Avon Court recently had a full day’s Health and Safety audit and were awarded a score of 100% and an accreditation. This is a huge team achievement, but very much down to Chris and his determination to succeed and keep everyone in the home safe.
This is the third year in a row that Avon Court has achieved a 100% Health and Safety audit, unlike Chris’s much beloved Manchester United!
Chris makes up just one of the amazing team of dedicated and caring people who work at Avon Court.
If you would like to meet Chris, or any of the team, please get in touch with us at Avon Court and arrange to come and have a look around (just don’t mention Manchester United!)
Until next time
Les
