Carefully selected artwork, soft furnishings, and thoughtfully themed households help create spaces that truly feel like home. Each household has its own distinctive character, inspired by eras and themes that resonate with our residents—whether through music, nature, film, or creative pursuits. These meaningful design choices are especially supportive for those living with dementia, helping to spark memories, encourage conversation, and promote a sense of belonging and wellbeing.

A beautiful space to enjoy safely

Grace Care Centre also features a secure, beautifully maintained garden designed with our residents’ comfort, safety, and enjoyment in mind. This welcoming outdoor space provides the perfect setting to relax, socialise, or simply enjoy some fresh air in peaceful surroundings. We take great pride in keeping our gardens to the highest standard, ensuring they remain an attractive, accessible, and therapeutic environment all year round.

Care you can feel confident in

My mum's health and well-being have been transformed by Grace Care Centre. Living in a place where she receives amazing care and good food, took her from a bad place to a new stage in her life where she can regularly be with family again. I would sum up Grace Care Centre as welcoming, kind, safe and caring.

Son of Resident, Grace Care Centre

At Grace Care Centre, we believe a fulfilling daily life is key to wellbeing. Whatever the weather, our engaging programme brings enjoyment, purpose, and connection to every day. Our dedicated Activities Co-ordinator works closely with each resident to create personalised activities based on their interests, hobbies, and life experiences—so moving into care never means giving up what you love.

A typical programme includes:

  • Trips to cafés, garden centres, parks, and local attractions

  • Exercise and wellbeing sessions, including seated yoga and Zumba

  • Music therapy and live entertainment

  • Arts, crafts, gardening, and creative activities

  • Games, quizzes, and social events

  • Visits from Pets as Therapy dogs

  • Communal church services

With regular themed events—from silent discos to special celebrations—there is always something to enjoy. Our volunteers also play an important role in keeping residents connected to the local community.

Many activities include reminiscence therapy, supporting those living with dementia through sensory experiences that spark memories and meaningful connections.

Just as importantly, residents can enjoy quiet time in our cosy lounges or relax with family and friends in a calm, welcoming setting.

At Grace Care Centre, mealtimes are an important part of the day. Our talented chef and kitchen team prepare fresh, home-cooked meals on site, using high-quality ingredients to create delicious and nutritious dishes.

We offer varied daily menus for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, alongside all-day dining for lighter meals and snacks. Every dish is carefully balanced to support good nutrition, while catering for individual dietary needs and personal preferences.

Where possible, we use seasonal produce, and there’s always something freshly baked to enjoy - our chef prepares homemade cakes daily for residents, families, and friends. Visitors are always welcome to join us, making mealtimes a relaxed and social occasion.

Each household features its own kitchen dining area, offering a more intimate, homely setting. Residents are also encouraged to get involved - whether helping to prepare meals or making a snack whenever they choose - supporting independence and everyday enjoyment.
