Around 60 people joined us for Harvest Festival in Oxfordshire which turned out to be a real success.
This was the first year which Oxfordshire had held a harvest festival show and despite not all the homes being able to attend, those that could had made a brilliant effort with their entries.
Dan Hayes, CEO had the pleasure of judging the ‘baking’ category and enjoyed tasting all of the chocolate brownies, Eccles cakes and lemon drizzle cake (as did we all!).
Recently at our Activity Coordinator meeting, a local florist, Ann Dawson had willingly come to show us how to make floral table centrepieces and buttonholes, both of which were categories for the Harvest Festival. We were very pleased that Ann could join us at the event to judge the amazing buttonholes and centrepieces that homes had created. It was lovely to see that the skills learnt had been put to good use.
Winners were announced by Sara Wright, HR Director and Millie Wentworth-Stanley, Trustee for Oxfordshire.
