The Orders of St John Care Trust’s Henlow Court care home has this week celebrated its 40th birthday.

Henlow Court opened in 1978 so to mark the occasion, employees dressed up in 70’s style clothing and had a 70’s themed lunch. On the menu was prawn cocktails, coq au vin and a scrumptious black forest gateaux pudding.

The guest list included friends, families, local community groups and past and present colleagues who joined in the celebrations. There was wonderful live jazz music from World Jungle throughout the afternoon, whilst guest dined on an amazing champagne cream tea on the lawn.

Rebekah Storey-Young, Activities Coordinator said: “It was such a special day made all that more special by all those who joined us. We would like to say a big thank you to everyone for their continued support and we are looking forward to many more events in the future.”
