Goodies Shop opens at Brookside Care Home

Brookside residential care home in Melksham choose a date during Nutrition & Hydration Week to officially open their new shop.  The official opening, which took place on Friday 18 March, was performed by Sue Goodson, wife of the late Brian Goodson who had been an OSJCT Trustee for many years up until his death last September.  Sue was joined by her two daughters, Pip and Becky, and three of her grandchildren, Emma, Maggie & Finn, as well as Cllr Terri Welsh, Mayor of Melksham, to help mark this special occasion.  Acting Home Manager. Jon Green, presented Sue with a bouquet of flowers as a thank you from all the residents, and team at the home.

The shop, aptly named Goodies, in memory of Brian, will sell a range of items including, chocolates and sweets, greetings cards and toiletries, and will be a great addition to the homes facilities.

As well as the Goodies shop the home also recently opened The Pilgrims Arms, a micro pub where the residents can enjoy a drink and socialise.
