Avonbourne Care Centre offers compassionate, individualised residential, dementia and respite care for up to 120 residents. The home environment has been designed specifically to enhance the quality of life of those who reside at Avonbourne Care Centre. Our care and activities team work together to enrich the lives of all our residents.

About the Home

Every resident has access to a comfortable and homely household living area, including a beautifully furnished lounge and sitting room, kitchen and dining room. From spacious bedrooms with stylish en-suite ‘wet room’ bathrooms to the landscaped gardens, Avonbourne Care Centre offers a home environment that allows our residents to thrive.

Residents’ can enjoy the social activities going on every day in the central communal area including a hairdressing salon, coffee shop, and cinema/entertainment room. The comfortable coffee shop on the first floor is a perfect place to meet family and friends. If you’d like a little more privacy, then your own bedrooms with a comfortable armchair are perfect for those moments.

Avonbourne is located in a quiet residential area, close to Old Sarum, a mighty Iron Age hill fort that was the original home to Salisbury Cathedral. A beautiful area that home to Salisbury Cathedral and a short drive to Stonehenge.

Food and nutrition

Our professional cook and kitchen team pride themselves on offering a delicious and varied selection of home-cooked meals.  Catering for individual dietary requirements and preferences and using seasonal produce whenever possible, they are careful to ensure best nutritional value too, so you can be sure of enjoying tasty, well balanced dishes every day.

How to find us

Avonbourne Care Centre is located north of Salisbury next to the new residential estate on Ramsbury Drive, Old Sarum.

Our new postcode is SP4 6GW but if your SatNav can’t find it please enter postcode SP4 6NZ instead.

If travelling from Salisbury take the A345 towards Amesbury, and at the roundabout follow signs to Old Sarum Airfield (third exit) along Portway. At the next roundabout take the first left and Avonbourne Care Centre will be on your left.

If coming from the north via the A303 take the A345 at Amesbury towards Salisbury and at roundabout (second exit) follow signs to Old Sarum Airfield as above. We have a large visitors’ car park.
