Stirlings Care Home offers compassionate, individualised residential and dementia care for up to 40 residents. It has a strong connection with the local community, and has been serving the local and wider Oxfordshire residents for over 50 years. Set in peaceful and beautifully tended grounds, the home is located in a quiet residential location, near to the historic centre of Wantage. The town centre is within walking distance and there are local amenities close by, including a community hospital, health centre, shops, library and museum

About the Home

Your comfort and well-being is paramount to all of us at Stirlings Care Home. Our friendly and professionally trained staff team is here to offer you the support you need, when you need it, 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Food and Nutrition

Our professional cook and kitchen team pride themselves on offering a delicious and varied selection of home-cooked meals.  Catering for individual dietary requirements and preferences and using seasonal produce whenever possible, they are careful to ensure best nutritional value too, so you can be sure of enjoying tasty, well balanced dishes every day.

Activities

The dedicated Activities Coordinator is there to make life as stimulating and varied as possible, they work with the residents to shape the schedules of activities by holding regular meetings and questionaires with the residents, here is an idea of activities they might organise:

  • Barbecues and cream teas on the lawn
  • Fish and chips on Bournemouth beach
  • Trips to the local gardening centre
  • 100th birthday party
  • Visit from a calm and friendly dog

With so many well-being activities for body and mind, we also recognise that everyone needs some time to honour their spirit with relaxation and mindfulness for personal reflection. The cosy lounges and dining areas offer an opportunity to socialise with friends and family or join in larger social events, but you will also find places to enjoy peace and quiet.
