Windsor Street Care Centre care home offers individualised residential, dementia, nursing and respite care for up to 81 residents in modern, friendly and comfortable households. Opened in 2013, this welcoming home is located on Windsor Street, an attractive residential road in north Cheltenham. The home is split into 5 households, each with a different specialist focus, to ensure that residents enjoy more of a home-from-home experience. Within each household there is an individual care team, a sitting room and dining room.

About the Home
The home has been designed with your wellbeing and comfort in mind. Cosy lounges are available to relax in, as are secure terraces to take advantage of on sunny days and social activities take place daily for your enjoyment. If however, you’d like a little more privacy, then your own spacious bed-sitting room, with en-suite ‘wet room’ shower facilities, offers a peaceful oasis.

A friendly, professionally trained team
To give you the support you need when you need it, a friendly, professionally trained team are on hand around-the-clock to support you in how you wish to spend your day enabling you to enjoy a fulfilling and independent lifestyle. The team is made up of Michelle, Home Manager, a Head of Care, Activity Co-ordinator, Dementia Lead, Carers, Admiral Nurses, Registered Nurses, Housekeeping team and a Chef.
We understand how important it is to have daily activities to take part in and enjoy. Our dedicated Activities Co-ordinators organise a wide programme of events around each persons’ requests, hobbies and interests. The team will be delighted to assist you to continue with existing hobbies, as well as give you the opportunity to try something new if you would like to. They make sure everyone can enjoy themselves to the fullest, be that with arts and crafts, a coffee morning or more individual pursuits. Visits from outside entertainers happen regularly and the home also has its own minibus for trips out and about. Each resident receives 1-1 time with the Activity Coordinators and together they will work on their own personal activity plan and goals.

Tasty, home cooked meals
A talented chef and kitchen team prepare tasty, home-cooked meals. The freshly prepared, delicious dishes are carefully balanced to get the best nutritional value, and cater for individual dietary requirements and preferences. Seasonal produce is chosen whenever possible and of course, relatives and friends are always welcome to join. The menus change daily and the kettle is always on, so hot drinks are available throughout the day. Each of the 5 households have their own small and personal dining room where residents take their meals if they wish. Residents are also encouraged to help prepare their own food, and to make snacks whenever they feel hungry.
