Meet the team

The talented chef and kitchen team prepare tasty, home-cooked meals on site daily from our own kitchens. We source quality produce for our excellent breakfast, lunch and dinner menus. All-day dining is available for lighter meals and snacks and all dishes are carefully balanced to get the best nutritional value and cater for individual dietary requirements and preferences.

Seasonal produce is chosen whenever possible and of course, relatives and friends are always welcome to join us. The menus change daily and the kettle is always on. Our chef bakes every day so there is always a fresh cake for residents, families and friends to enjoy.

Residents are also encouraged to help prepare their own food and to make snacks whenever they choose.

Since volunteering for a local activities group for children in care at 14, Miali always knew that her passion lay with caring for people. She chose Health and Social Care for both her GCSE’S and A Levels at school and continued to go on to work as a HCA and Consultants Assistant for hospitals, clinics and care homes for many years. Outside of work she loves to paint, sing, socialise with friends, spend time with family, explore nature and help her partner raise his 4-year-old son. she is very family orientated and dedicated lots of time caring for her amazing Nanna, who sadly battled Parkinsons Disease, until 2020. She wishes to continue to care for the residents with the dedication she had for her Nanna and hopes to make her proud.

During her childhood, Miali practiced karate for 8 years, competing in local and national competitions, eventually leading to representing England in the World Championships in Tokyo, Japan in 2013 at the age of 16. Miali invites anyone who wishes to speak to her about her plans for Grevill House, to always feel welcome to chat and she looks forward to a bright future with OSJCT.
