Meet the team

The talented chef and kitchen team prepare tasty, home-cooked meals on site daily from our own kitchens. We source quality produce for our excellent breakfast, lunch and dinner menus. All-day dining is available for lighter meals and snacks and all dishes are carefully balanced to get the best nutritional value and cater for individual dietary requirements and preferences.

Seasonal produce is chosen whenever possible and of course, relatives and friends are always welcome to join us. The menus change daily and the kettle is always on. Our chef bakes every day so there is always a fresh cake for residents and visitors to enjoy.

Residents are also encouraged to help prepare their own food and to make snacks whenever they choose.

Whether it’s wet or dry outside, we at OSJCT feel that activities are essential in providing the best caring environment to live in.

Hobbies don’t simply stop when living with us at Glebe House. We have a dedicated Activities Co-ordinator who works closely with our residents to create a programme of fulfilling activities and events, tailored around each resident’s requests, hobbies and interests. The programme of events and activities provide a source of fun and laughter, to help each resident live their life to the full and make new friendships.

Meet the team

Home Manager

April Bulman is the Home Manager at Glebe House. She has been with the Trust for 11 years. April started her career as an Administrator and due to her hard work and passion for care, she progressed to Home Manager level. April has a Level 5 in Health and Social Care. The reason why April chose to enter the care industry was that she has always wanted to make a difference and has always been a people person. The most exciting part of April’s role is seeing the residents take part in the home's activities and them being able to live and enjoy life. Outside of work, April enjoys spending time with her children and grandchildren. She also has a passion for arts and crafts and used to decorate cakes!

Head of Care

Zoe joined Glebe House in September 2016 with 20 years experience in the care industry, and has been in the Head of Care role for over 10 years now. She started working as a carer when she left school, and then joined the Trust in 2006 as a Care Leader in another OSJCJ home. She has a Level 3 qualification in Health and Social Care, and enjoys learning and keeping her knowledge up-to-date to continue her development. She chose to work in the care industry after a personal experience with her Grandparents, and believes that if everything we do would have been good enough for them, she can go home at the end of the day knowing our residents are happy and well cared for. Zoe loves being part of the team at Glebe House and seeing our residents every day, and the little things that make them all so unique.

Admin Assistant

Elaine has been Admin Assistant since 2019, after joining OSJCT in 2016 as a Carer. She has vast experience, with 8 years in the care industry and 5 years in domiciliary care. Elaine always has her door open so residents can sit and have a chat, and still likes to help out on the care side. Every year she raises money for charity, such as she has recently completed a 26 mile hike for MacMillan Cancer.
