Wednesday afternoon singalongs are a real highlight of the week for residents at Hartsholme House.

Residents at Lake House Care Home and Day Centre in Adderbury got in the romantic spirit for Valentine’s Day and enjoyed a colourful cocktail party at the home.

‘Love is all around us’ at Grevill House in Charlton King as they celebrated valentine’s day with a whole host of activities.

This Valentine's Day, we wanted to celebrate 'love' in all it's forms, so we asked our residents to do something they loved this year. One of our residents, Jennifer Rice, adores poetry and wrote this lovely poem which she agreed we could share.

The team at Avonbourne Care Centre are passionate about supporting our residents in being as independent as possible. One of our residents, Vera, loves to shop for bits and bobs in Waitrose and on one of her recent weekly trips she had a particularly good experience. 

The team at Avonbourne recently signed up to the Postcards of Kindness initiative, where people are asked to write and send postcards to care home residents. While it is something small in a person’s day, when the postman brings a postcard it sparks great joy and prompts great discussions amongst our residents.

Edwardstow Court in Stow-on-the-Wold celebrated National Storytelling Week with their residents and some local school children.
