OSJCT Moments
With so many precious moments happening in and around our homes each day, what better way to document it than in a weekly, bite-size story that can be shared with and enjoyed by everyone. Here are some of the inspired moments of joy our residents, teams and communities have been appreciating recently.
Being told you’ve tested positive for the virus can be a very worrying time; we spoke to some of our residents who have recovered from COVID-19 and here’s what they had to say.
When I knew about COVID-19 I was worried, very worried. I don’t have a secret to getting better because I didn’t know I was ill – I’m looking forward to a cup of tea and a bacon sandwich – thank you, you wonderful carers.
Happy 100th birthday, Dicky!
A HUGE HAPPY 100th BIRTHDAY to one of our residents, Dicky! The entire Henley Town Council came to sing him Happy Birthday - it was a beautiful moment! ❤
Socially distanced visits!
We are so pleased that we are now offering controlled visits so that family members can come and see their relatives again! It was absolutely beautiful seeing them all reunite - reminds us all why we love our jobs so much! ?
30 days wild at The Lakes Care Centre
Residents have been working hard on a collage for their local cafe's window display. The theme is 'South Cerney Wild' as part of The Wildlife Trust '30 Days Wild' event which the whole community have got involved with.
Celebrating the care team at Lake House
Lake House celebrated #CarersWeek by giving out little gift bags as a token of appreciation for the team's hard work and dedication. One of the carers responded by saying: "Appreciation can make a day, even change a life..?" How true! We could not be prouder of our amazing team. Thank you to Morrisons in Banbury for kindly donating the chocolates and coffee for the gift bags. ?❤️ #TrustWeCare
Cards and letters
We have received beautiful cards and letters spreading the happiness and putting smiles on our residents' faces. ?❤️✉️
