OSJCT Moments
With so many precious moments happening in and around our homes each day, what better way to document it than in a weekly, bite-size story that can be shared with and enjoyed by everyone. Here are some of the inspired moments of joy our residents, teams and communities have been appreciating recently.
Fairy garden
Residents at Willowcroft have been busy creating a fairy garden for everyone to enjoy! Resident, Pearl, said she really enjoyed making this and can’t wait to show everyone how pretty it looks.
800 Years of Salisbury Cathedral
Buckland Court celebrated 800 years of Salisbury Cathedral with an art project! They used a silhouette of the Cathedral and put 800 bricks on it. The layers of bricks have positive quotes from residents and staff, and names of members of the community and local businesses that have given the Home gifts, treats and donated items. The community spirit is alive and well in Amesbury and we thank them all!
New parasols for Jubilee Lodge
Residents at Jubilee Lodge in Bourton on the Water have been enjoying the shade on a sunny day under one of their new parasols whilst waiting for their loved ones to visit in the garden.
Lemonade anyone?
Last weekend Fives Court made a lemonade and sweet trolley to visit residents in their rooms. They had a selection of fizzy drinks and pick n mix sweets! Residents said that it was so colourful and brought back lovely memories of going to the sweet shop with their pocket money when they were younger!
Multi-textured Masterpieces
Residents have been creating these beautiful multi-textured 3D pieces of art. Pat would like to show you her masterpiece!
The lockdown has also been difficult for families and friends of loved ones in our homes who have, until recently, been unable to visit. Here’s what some of them had to say on the independent review website - carehome.co.uk
I cannot praise Paternoster House staff enough during this Coronvavirus pandemic, they were totally prepared, keeping us informed of what was happening, constantly cleaning and appeared to have plenty of PPE and were well prepared to go into lockdown well ahead of it actually happening.
