OSJCT Moments
With so many precious moments happening in and around our homes each day, what better way to document it than in a weekly, bite-size story that can be shared with and enjoyed by everyone. Here are some of the inspired moments of joy our residents, teams and communities have been appreciating recently.
Doris celebrates 102nd birthday
Doris, a resident of The Meadows, Didcot, enjoyed special celebrations for her 102nd birthday with 102 cakes at a party organised by the Orders of St John Care Trust (OSJCT) care home. Doris, who was born in Abingdon, Oxfordshire, in 1918, received flowers and cards from her husband and two sons. She was also gifted flowers and a hamper of goodies from the local Waitrose store.
Walks in the woodland at Edwardstow Court
Residents at Edwardstow Court in Stow-on-the-Wold have been taking full advantage of their private woodland area and using it to stretch their legs. The woodland has been the perfect place during this heatwave as the trees provide the perfect sun shade and keeps the woodland nice and cool.
Madley Men's Club
Madley Park reignited the 'Madley Men's Club'. It was such great fun playing french boules and darts in the garden.
Sisters Reunited at Chestnut Court
Everyone was delighted to welcome our new resident, Muriel, to Chestnut Court.
It was made even more special as she was reunited with her sister, Iris, who also lives at the care home in Quedgeley.
They both haven’t stopped smiling since. A wonderful moment for all involved.
Cards from Nationwide Building Society
Thank you to Nationwide Building Society for sending cards to residents! The residents loved the messages in the cards and seeing the children's artwork. ?
Movie afternoon
If you can't get to the pictures, bring the pictures to you! Residents enjoyed a movie afternoon in their socially-distanced social bubbles! ??
