Residents at Edwardstow Court in Stow-on-the-Wold took on the Captain Tom 100 challenge to celebrate his birthday. The residents decided they would plant 100 bulbs so they could enjoy the benefits of the challenge for many years to come.

Sian Howse, Deputy Manager, said “The residents enjoyed planting the bulbs with Wayne, our Handy person, everyone was talking about all the money Captain Tom raised last year and how they are looking forward to seeing the bulbs grow”

Resident at Langford View in Bicester have always been able to join a weekly church service. Since COVID-19 ministers have run online services via zoom, connected to the TV..

This week the Sunday church service was dedicated to the memory of HRH The Duke of Edinburgh, with prayers, readings, memories and special hymns.

Many spoke about how they were feeling and some shared memories of meeting or seeing HRH The Duke of Edinburgh. Residents at the care home in Bicester said that they had really enjoyed the service.
